Your Own AI Coding Agent, Free and Running in 45 Minutes

OpenCode is a free, open-source AI coding agent that runs on your own machine. We'll start from zero: install it, connect it to an AI model, and run your first real task together. You'll leave with a setup you can keep and reuse. If you can open a terminal and type a command, you can follow along.

Step 1 of 3 · About you

What you'll do in 45 minutes

This is a true beginner session, so we start from nothing installed. We'll set up OpenCode on your laptop, connect it to an AI model, and run a real task you describe in plain English. You'll leave knowing how to stay in control of what an AI agent changes, with a setup you can reuse. All you need is a laptop where you can install software and open a terminal; we handle the rest live.

  • Understand what an AI coding agent is, and how it differs from a chatbot
  • Install OpenCode on your own laptop, done with you live
  • Run your first task: describe a change in plain English and watch it work
  • Learn the one habit that keeps you in control: plan first, build, then read the diff
